Folasade Alabi, LL.B, BL, B.Sc, LLM
Folasade is a legal practitioner trained in Nigeria and Republic of Ireland. She is called to the Nigerian Bar and undertook further honors degree in Housing and Community Studies at University College Dublin and a Master of Laws degree from the prestigious Trinity College Dublin. She achieved high distinction in both courses.
Her career include stints with Messrs. Yomi Oshikoya & Co. and Messrs. Coker & Adeluola, where her exposure to the law’s complexities and intellectual challenges prepared her for a stellar career in the legal profession. She gained experience in aviation dispute resolution and litigation together with cognate research and drafting skills. She is equally experienced in commercial law, residential and commercial conveyance as well as property purchase and sale.
Folasade also worked as a senior officer with the Corporate Affairs Commission with responsibility for registration of business names, companies and incorporated trustees as well as verifying corporate due diligence and compliance amongst other services provided by the Commission. A quest for improved protection for socio-economic rights, in particular the right to housing, and their legal recognition motivated her distinct specialisation in housing law, an area in which she continues to practice. Folasade is a member of the United Kingdom Chartered Institute of Housing and Nigerian Bar Association. She heads Adon Partners’ client care group.
